I like the fact that she’s focusing on the relationship between Helen and Ethel, because when I wrote my review on Amazon it was like I just had so much I wanted to say and get down about the book, I arbitrarily relegated Ethel to one paragraph, despite the fact that Helen and Ethel’s relationship is one of the most important plot elements in the novel.
One paragraph of any character is plenty. I like your reviews just as much. Sometimes more 😉
Thank you! I’ll accept that praise as earned because it’s kind of a struggle not to compulsively go back and fix all my mistakes or rewrite paragraphs entirely to make them “tighter”.
What I’ve learned from my years of being a scriptwriter/writer: Kill your babies, learn to let go, the next one will always be better. Just breathe and move on. Everything is going to be ok.
