New reader here! Mine’s preordered, looking forward to it. Never thought of myself as a horror reader but Snow White was great and I’m adaptable.
This cover is unsettling, in a good way. It’s like they’re dancing, holding each other loosely, but she has her eyes tightly clenched shut against the other’s shoulder, like she’s terrified of holding her too close but desperately afraid of letting her go. It’s like the first shot of a movie trailer and I’m just about to hear a juddering breath.
Just a thought… maybe one of the women in the picture is… not alive? 😉 #horror
